Boys’ Latin (MD) is the LaxPower High School Boys’ Lacrosse National Champion for 2014.
LaxPower, the world’s leading authority on lacrosse team performance ratings, is pleased to announce the National Coaches/Computer Ratings for high school boys’ lacrosse for the recently completed 2014 season.

Boys’ Latin School of Baltimore, Maryland is LaxPower’s national champion for 2014. The Lakers capped off an undefeated season (18-0) by winning the 2014 Maryland MIAA A Division title. They placed in first place in both the computer ratings and the coaches’ poll, where they received 22 of 28 first-place votes. No. 2 Malvern Prep (PA) also finished undefeated at 24-0 and received one first-place vote. Culver Academy Prep, which also finished with a perfect slate at 23-0 and received three first place votes, rounded out the top three. The top five programs in the country for 2014 are:
#1: Boys’ Latin, Baltimore, MD (18-0) — Maryland MIAA A Division champion
#2: Malvern Prep, Malvern, PA (24-0) — Pennsylvania IAC champion
#3: Culver Academy Prep, Culver, IN (23-0) — undefeated independent season
#4: Darien, Darien, CT (23-0) — Connecticut CIAC Class M State champion
#5: Massapequa, Massapequa, NY (19-2) — New York Class A State champion
The final rankings were compiled using LaxPower’s CCR rating formula, which combines the national computer ratings with a national poll. The computer ratings used for the rankings are based on 28,750 game scores for 3,746 high school teams. The poll is a product of rankings by 28 high school coaches from around the country. Each of these parameters represents 50% of the final tallied results.
