College Choice: University of Richmond (ConnectLAX college profile)
Club Affiliation: NXT
Major lacrosse honors: 1st Team All PAC-10, 2nd Team All-Area, Maverik Showtime 2013, Philly Showcase Camp Fab 40 All-Star 2013/2014, Baltimore Summer Kickoff All-Star, MVP 2 All-Star, Legacy All-Star, NXT Summer Invitational All-Star
Academic honors: Honor Roll
What will you major in/study? Undecided
Why did you choose the school? “As soon as I stepped foot on campus and as (Assistant) Coach (Paul) Richards was showing me around the school I knew Richmond was the place for me. Besides the campus, the academics are outstanding. Although I’m currently undecided in what I would like to study I am leaning towards business, where Richmond offers a top business program in the entire country. Coach (Dan) Chemotti, Coach (Steve) Layne, Coach Richards, and the Richmond lacrosse team really made me fit in well and made me feel like I was at home. I like the idea of becoming part of a new and upcoming program and look forward to contribute to it.”
What are your thoughts on this past HS lacrosse season/team’s outlook for next season? “This past season went really well and we graduated a great group of seniors. With some young talent coming up our goal is to win our conference, compete in districts, and hopefully be able to compete in states.”
Thank You: “I’d first like to thank my Collegeville Cougars coaches: Harvey Smith, Mike Cassidy, Dennis Sutterfield, and Chip Smith. They not only made me a better lacrosse player but made me a better person on and off the field and really stressed the importance of sportsmanship and working as a team. I’d like to thank my coaches at Spring Ford: Kevin Donnelly, Brian Capone, Dan Monzo, and Kevin Czaper for trusting my play this past year and making not only me but the entire Spring Ford lacrosse team a better person off the field. I’d like to thank my coaches within the NXT organization I’ve had over the years: Tim Muir, Dylan Brown, Andy Hayes, Marty Kupprion, George Castle, Bill Derrick and Brett Manney, for developing my play to be able to at the next level, all their help in the recruiting process, and for not only being great coaches but great people who are friends to us players and role models for younger kids to look up to. I’d also like to thank my first coach at the Collegeville Cougars, Chuck Denecke, for being tough on me to work hard, teaching me the game of lacrosse at all positions, and developing my IQ of the game.
“Next, I’d like to thank Coach Chemotti, Coach Layne, and Coach Richards for taking their time to come watch me play and giving me the opportunity to become a Richmond Spider.
“Lastly and most importantly, I’d like to thank my family for all their support in helping me reach one of my goals, the countless hours of driving, for pushing me to work hard in the classroom and at practice, and for all their time they take out of their lives to help me succeed. Also a special thanks to my dad for introducing the game to me and helping me become the person I am today.”
