Team Stars and Stripes will compete against Team Maple Leafs on Sunday, Sept 21 at Union College in a special event featuring three elite high school lacrosse games.
The inaugural event, proudly sponsored by National 175, will feature three games:
Class of 2017 (9 a.m.)
Class of 2016 (11 a.m.)
Class of 2015 (1 p.m.)
All games will play at Bailey Stadium field.
The Stars and Stripes team roster will be released in the next day.
All players on Team Stars and Stripes will be receiving:
*Custom Cascade R helmet designed for team Stars and Stripes
*Custom jersey as shown above
*Custom shorts
*Shooting shorts
The Following have been selected to coach these three teams:
Ted Garber
Jeff Brameier
Rick Beardsley
Michael Chanenchuk, Jr
Ryan Nizolek
Coaches for the Stars & Stripes teams include the following:
Ted Garber – Former head coach of several professional teams including most recently, OHIO MACHINE. Ted Garber is one of the most highly respected lacrosse coaches in the country. He has worked as a high school, college and professional coach.
• Inducted into the University of New Hampshire Hall of Fame
• Inducted into the Ct Lacrosse High School Hall of Fame
• Holds All-time winning percentage as head coach in UMass lacrosse history
• Led University of New Hampshire to 1st ever NCAA tournament bid, team ranked #6 in country.
• 40 years of player/coach experience at all levels
• Only coach in the history of the game who has been a head coach for the Professional, Collegiate, Secondary and Youth levels
Jeff Brameier – Jeff Brameier will head into his 32nd season at the helm of the Darien High School Boy’s Lacrosse program where he has guided his teams to a won-loss record of 506-129, winning 13 FCIAC League Championships and 10 State Championships including 6 in a row from 2005-2010. His 2014 team was the #1 ranked public school in the nation. He has the most wins of any active coach in Connecticut and is currently ranked 2nd all-time in wins. Rick Beardsley – Former Syracuse University lacrosse All-American, Ric Beardsley is the boy’s head lacrosse coach at Christian Brothers Academy. Beardsley was a four-time All-American defenseman (twice, first-team selection) for the Orange between 1992-95. He helped Syracuse win national titles in 1993 and 1995.

Ryan Nizolek - Ryan Nizolek is a native of Madison, CT where he attended Daniel Hand High School. On the Lacrosse field Ryan was a US Lacrosse and an Under Armour All American. While he was considering many division 1 football scholarships, Ryan chose to play Lacrosse at the University of Virginia. At UVA, he was a 3-year starter on defense and was named an All-American in 2010. Since graduating UVA, he played 4 seasons in the MLL for the Boston Cannons, winning the championship in 2011.
