2015 Boys’ Lacrosse Camps
Recruiting camps
Crabs Top Prospect Camps for boys in the classes of 2019 and 2020, Saint James School in Hagerstown, MD. Session 1 will be held Monday, June 22- Thursday, June 25. New for 2015 is the Elite Freshman Camp, from Monday, June 29-Wednesday July 1.
Session II (for 2020 players only) starts Monday July 6th, 7th, 8th and ends Thursday July 9th at noon. (SESSION II only – a bus from Young Guns Tourney to St James will be available Sunday afternoon at an added cost for those families interested in having their son stay Sunday night for camps start Monday afternoon.)
The Top Prospect Camp is for elite players. Applicants must provide a reference as part of the selection process. Successful applicants typically will have been starters for their respective AA/A type travel teams.
The camps will limit to 152 players; 76 players per age group as follows:
2019s – 20 attack, 28 midfielders, 20 defenders and 8 goalies.
2020s – 20 attack, 28 midfielders, 20 defenders, and 8 goalies.
Players will experience an intense, fast-paced teaching environment during the instruction sessions. These sessions will include both team dynamics as well as position specific breakouts. No matter what team you play for you do not want to miss this opportunity to play with and meet some of the best players in the nation.

Philly Boys Showcase Camps by NXT at Saint Joseph’s University, now on two dates: Session I for 2016s and 2017s on June 24-26, and Session II for 2018s and 2019 on July 27-29 at St. Joseph’s University. The Philly Boys Showcase Camp was started by coaches who genuinely want to help high school players achieve their college lacrosse goals by educating them on all aspects of the college process. Two coaches who embody this philosophy and the co-directors of the Boys Philly Showcase Camp – Peter Lawrence (University of Hartford), and Taylor Wray (St. Joseph’s University). Showcase lacrosse campers leave better educated not just on the lacrosse field, but also better educated about the college recruitment process, NCAA rules, strength training, and nutrition. Ted Spencer’s Blue Chip 225 Recruiting Showcases offer college recruiting and skill training for boys from Rising Freshmen to Rising Seniors on the campus of the University of Massachusetts. There are two sessions: June 29-July 1 for Rising Sophomores, and Rising Juniors and July 6-July 8 for Rising Seniors and Rising Freshmen. The showcase includes a player evaluation session, two college level team practices, and seven games will comprise the schedule. All Stars will play in an 8th game which will be streamed online as a FREE LIVE BROADCAST. Ending on Wednesday afternoon with everyone playing in a Championship Round, this format allows both players and coaches the time necessary to recover for their commitments for other recruiting opportunities. Classes will benefit from increased college coach presence but will have separate housing, training and games. Each class will have its own all-star game. Both player and coach will benefit from 8 fields in one central location providing easy access for coach evaluations and player performance. Combining age groups will draw more coaches than ever, and the new format will allow coaches to maximize their recruiting efforts by attending a session of Blue Chip 225.

Skills camps
Upper River Lacrosse is offering a month-long development camp, June 16-July 20, in the Philly suburbs with twice-daily practices, residential options for players from across the country, skill and position development, as well as tournament play and recruiting exposure and advice. Upper River Sports combines the best of skills camps and club teams, along with the intensive high-level development model from other sports, and mixes that with the fun and friendship of a traditional summer camp. Up to 25 boys from the Class of 2019 will be accepted. Camp includes three tournaments in the region. Out-of-town athletes will be housed at Villanova University; players will practice on turf and grass fields on the Main Line outside of Philadelphia. The head coach will be Brian Scheetz, a three-time All-American and the leading scorer in the history of lacrosse at Mercyhurst University. Scheetz has been coaching at the collegiate level for the past two years and has coached with SweetLax as well as starting an overnight skills camp in his hometown in upstate New York. Goalie instructors will be in several times throughout the summer, as well as professional and Division I defensive players and face-off experts. Each week will feature numerous additional speakers and instructors on topics like basic fitness for young athletes, nutrition, and mental toughness. Millon camps, Overnight and Day Camps Available, for boys aged 8 to 17 at multiple locations. Millon camps have been operating for over 20 years and trained over 20,000 campers. QuickStick Day Camp (PA), La Salle College High School, run by La Salle Hall of Fame coach Bill Leahy and his staff, June 22-26, from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM, boys aged 5 to 16. The original Quickstick Lacrosse Camp location! Since 1993 boys and girls have been enjoying camp at La Salle. This camp highlights stick skills, team concepts, and the much anticipated camp tournament. Campers enjoy live DJ music on the field, lunch for purchase in the school cafeteria, guest speakers in the lecture hall, and a high fidelity action packed video session in the “star trek” room. The last four years this camp has SOLD OUT with over 225 total campers.
Goalie camps
E20 Elite Goalie School for goalies in the graduation years 2017, 2018 & 2019, run by Brian “Doc” Dougherty and Drew Adams. Twenty goalies from each graduation year will be hand selected by “Doc”, Drew and their staff to attend this invite only overnight camp. The E20 Elite Goalie School will be held July 6-9 at Byn Athyn College (PA). Players will be housed in brand new suites that include kitchens, washer/dryers and most importantly air conditioning. Goalies will be challenged daily by shots from a select group of top offensive players supplied by E20’s partner the American Indoor Lacrosse Association. The shooters will be invited based on their performance at the AILA’s weeklong box training and outdoor shooting camp, which also takes place at Bryn Athyn College on the same week. E20’s staff consists of All-World goalie Dougherty (Chestnut Hill College head coach, Episcopal Academy grad), current USA National Team member, New York Lizards and MLL All Star goaltender Adams (Springfield-Delco, Penn State), former Penn State keeper and First Team All American Austin “Sparky” Kaut and former Maryland’s First Team All American Niko Amato. All four goalies have earned multiple All-American statuses at their respected universities.

Girls’ skills camps
Navy women’s lacrosse camps, are designed to teach and develop the fundamental skills of the game, as well as team concepts in a fun, educational and confidence building environment. It is a chance to learn sportsmanship, leadership and teamwork. It is also a great opportunity to meet other young lacrosse players and experience different coaching techniques from some of the best coaches in the nation.
NAVY YOUTH DAY CAMP/CLINIC
Dates: Session I: June 15-16; Session II: June 17-18. Times: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Ages: 5 years to 12 years of age. Price: One Session – $160; Both Sessions – $300
Details: This clinic is specifically designed to teach and develop the fundamental skills of the game: throwing, catching, shooting, ground balls, offensive and defensive skills, feeding and confidence level improvement, in a fun and educational atmosphere. Goalie instruction will be offered.

NAVY ELITE GOLD CAMP/CLINIC
Date: June 17-18. Ages: Rising high school freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors. Cost: $400
Details: This is a high intensity, action packed two-day clinic for the Elite player who aspires to compete at the ollegiate level. Sessions will include drills with an emphasis on mastery of individual skills as well as creativity in stickwork and shooting. Players will focus on perfecting offensive strategies and high pressure defensive schemes. The Navy Lacrosse Goalie School will be run by US National Team Player, Meg Huether. The Elite Gold Clinic will include full field scrimmages, an evening program on Wed night and prizes! This clinic allows you the opportunity to learn from some of the best coaches in the country! This is a two-day clinic. Overnight accommodations are not provided. A list of local hotels is available.

NAVY OPEN BLUE CAMP
Date: June 23-25. Ages: Rising sixth-, seventh-, eighth- and ninth-graders. Cost: $550
Details: This overnight camp is designed for players of all ability levels. There is a strong emphasis on mastering skills as well as moving on to more advanced parts of the game. Sessions will focus on individual skills, team concepts and full field play. Campers will be divided by age and skill level in order to provide the appropriate learning environment. Goalie instruction will be offered.
