Middletown (MD) 2017 midfielder Kristyn Staley has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at University of Maryland at Baltimore County (UMBC).

Why did you choose school? “I chose UMBC because when I met the coaches and went on campus I had never felt more at home at a school. I didn’t think much of it because I had other schools in mind and I wanted to be far from home, but when it came down to deciding where to commit there was no other school I would want to go to to play lacrosse and get a good education.”
Thoughts on your HS team’s season? “We did very well. It was my school’s first girls lacrosse team to make it to the regional championship and state semis where we lost against Century. I’ve never been on a team where we all were so close on and off the field; it was definitely a season I will remember for a long time.”
