Moorestown (NJ) rising junior midfielder Melanie Becker has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Vanderbilt University.

What will you major in/study? Speech Pathology
Why did you choose Vanderbilt? “I chose Vanderbilt because it has everything I was looking for in a college experience. Vandy has great academics, but the athletics are also a big part of life on campus. I also loved the entire lacrosse coaching staff and the players and felt like I would be a good fit on their team.”
What are your thoughts on this past HS lacrosse season/team’s outlook for next season? “Last season we ended with a State Championship win and a #2 National ranking while improving our record to 51-0 over the past two seasons. We will be losing a lot of great seniors from last season but also have a lot of great players returning and we hope to make another run at the State Championship title this year.”
