From Press Release

NXT 2016 (PA) put the NXT Lacrosse Club on the national radar.

NXT LC’s first two teams did great things on and off the field, but it wasn’t until NXT 2016 came around that NXT LC really started to earn a national reputation. Three years later, NXT’s seniors put pen to paper on National Signing Day.

Fifteen 2016s have committed to Division I schools. Delaware, Notre Dame and Ohio State all signed a pair of NXT 2016 teammates, while Boston University, Hofstra, Marquette, Maryland, Michigan, Monmouth, Richmond, Vermont and Virginia all boast one NXT 2016 commit. Seven NXT 2016 players have decided to play Division III lacrosse at Denison, Franklin & Marshall, Gettysburg, Lynchburg Stevenson, York and Widener.

Future Virginia defenseman Jack Reilly (Conestoga, Pa.) was the first commitment in club history and at the time, the earliest defenseman commit in college lacrosse history. In the past two seasons, no club has combined for more PIAA and DIAA champions than NXT LC. Three NXT 2016s have already been named U.S. Lacrosse All-Americans and four of its players are alums of Nike’s “The Ride”.

“We couldn’t be prouder of this terrific group of young men,” NXT LC Boys Director Marty Kupprion said. “They’ve been a joy to watch develop on and off the field. They’re excellent players, but even better people, and we’re excited to see how they do this spring and then in college.”
