Downingtown East (PA) 2017 attack/midfielder Hannah Wurzel has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Wofford College.

What will you major in/study? Undecided
Why did you choose this school? “Wofford is the ideal school for me. The location of the school is perfect because it is extremely close to the nearby city of Spartanburg which was something I was looking for when deciding on a school. In addition, my teammates and I will be the first team for the girls’ lacrosse program at the school. I like this aspect because it allows for underclassman like myself to step into leadership roles and shine.”
2016 HS season highlights/outlook for 2017? “This past year my team won our league title, the Ches-mont. However our season ended earlier than expected with a loss in the second round of the playoffs. Though we are losing valuable seniors this upcoming year, I am expecting big things from the team. The upcoming sophomores and juniors are gaining more confidence on the field which should help tremendously.”
People to thank: “I would first like to thank my sisters, Emily and Haleigh, for pushing me to be a better player every day. From working on one vs. ones in the backyard to working out with me, you guys are always there. I would also like to thank my parents for encouraging me to be the best that I can be. Love all you guys!
