Junior Drew Petkevich (Penn State commit) scored four goals, including the game winner in overtime Saturday night as Bullis School (MD) defeated Episcopal Academy (PA), 7-6, in a non-league opener at Georgetown University.
Freshman Alex Trippi had a goal and two assists for Bullis while Steven Shollenberger scored twice.
Meanwhile, No. 20 Gonzaga (D.C.) edged St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes (Va), 6-5 as junior Timmy Monahan (Ohio State) had three goals and sophomore Luke McCaleb (Brown) had the game-winner in the fourth quarter. Junior Luke Vassos added a goal and an assist for Gonzaga while junior Ridge Slater (Cornell) had a goal, junior Avery Myers (Michigan) had an assist and senior Mark Anstead (Detroit Mercy) added an assist. Sophomore goalie George Christopher had 9 saves for the Purple Eagles, and the defense held SSSA without a shot on goal in the fourth quarter.

At Columbine, CO, Mountain Vista toppled the hosts, 11-5, in a key opener as Christian Barker had four goals and Shane McKenna had four points.
Also, McCallie School (TN) edged Highland Park (TX), 6-5, at the Brine King of Spring in Durham, N.C., on a game-winner by Paul Silverblatt (2015, Bellarmine commit). Tate Boyce (2015, Providence) posted 12 saves in goal.
Girls
Ponte Vedra (FL) improved to 4-1 with a 16-15 conquest of Barron Collier (5-1).
Jordan Grune scored five goals for Ponte Vedra and Katie Mauro added four while Abby Walker had three goals and two assists.
Meanwhile in Georgia Milton (3-0) defeated Roswell, 19-4. Twelve players scored for 15th-ranked Milton as senior Brooke Winsness led with three goals, two assists, two groundballs and a caused turnover while defender Lindsey Burton collected four groundballs amnd three caused turnovers. Hannah Davis had a goal, six draw controls and four groundballs.
