It was a special day to celebrate the memory of Scoop Kelly, a graduate of Fallston (MD) and the head coach the past nine years at Bel Air (MD).
Friday afternoon, Bel Air hosted Fallston in an Upper Chesapeake Bay Athletic Conference Chesapeake Division game that was dedicated to Kelly’s memory. Coach Kelly died two months ago from injuries following a car accident.
Bel Air won the game, 7-4, as Calvin Fleagle scored four goals and goalie Gavin Hanley posted 11 saves.
Brad Casale added two goals for Bel Air, which led, 3-1, at halftime. Fallston (2-1) got a goal and an assist from Wesley Rumple.
Brewster Academy (NH) 14, Trinity Pawling (NY) 8 (via BrewsterLax2013)
Ryder Garnsey (Notre Dame) erupted for seven goals and an assist for Brewster (3-0).
Jake Christensen had six goals and Brent Greenburg 4 four for QO (3-0).

Colin Chell scored six goals and Shack Stanwick five assists to lead the Lakers (7-0), No. 1 in the Warrior/TopLaxRecruits Rankings in their MIAA opener.
Calvert Hall (MD) 15, Mount St. Joseph (MD) 8
Timmy Kelly continued his torrid scoring with seven goals to help the Cardinals (9-1) win their MIAA opener.
St. Paul’s School (MD) 10, St. Mary’s Annapolis (MD) 9
Henry Riehl (game-winner with 1:30 to play) had three goals and three assists and Mikey Wynne scored three goals as the Crusaders (5-3) rallied from a four-goal deficit after three periods to down the Saints (6-2) in their MIAA opener.
McDonogh School (MD) 9, Severn School (MD) 8
Bobby Austin had four goals and an assist as the No. 4 Eagles (8-1) held on for the MIAA opening-day win.
Andrew DeStefano had four goals and an assist and Trey Johnson made 16 stops for Severn.

Jay Minor had three goals for the Cougars (3-0).
