The 6th annual Lax-Out Cancer, Shoreham-Wading River’s cancer awareness event and fundraiser, will be held April 26 with a lacrosse doubleheader at Shoreham-Wading River High School.
A girls’ game between Bellport and Shoreham will kick off the event off at noon, followed by a boys’ game between Mount Sinai and Shoreham at 2:30 p.m.
Proceeds from the event will go to several cancer charities. There are no admission charges for the games but donations will be accepted. To donate online, go to www.laxoutcancer.com.
The Shoreham-Wading River boys are 3-1 and are the defending Long Island Class C champions. Mount Sinai is 4-1.
The SWR girls were Suffolk County finalists last year.
