Why did you choose Vanderbilt? “I chose Vanderbilt because it has everything in a school that I was looking for both academically and athletically. As soon as I visited the campus, I knew I could feel at home there. The campus is beautiful and the athletic facilities are second to none. The coaches, Cathy Swezey, Susan Ellis, and Julie Gardner, were sincere and welcoming. I could feel the great team chemistry, and I felt very comfortable with the players. But, most importantly, the coaches’ vision for the team is consistent with my goals as a lacrosse player. Oh, and I love country music!”
Outlook for your High School team? “Garnet Valley is off to a strong start this season. The team is extremely talented and has a lot of depth. We definitely have our sights set on the PIAA State Championship! Go Jags!”
Additional Comments: “First, I would like to thank my family for their unbelievable support and for being my biggest fans. I would like to especially thank my parents and brother. Thanks to my Mom for taking me all over the country and for being there every step of the way; to my Dad for giving so much of his time to practice with me, he has had a huge impact on me as an athlete; and to my brother, Chris, for being the best role model ever – I am extremely grateful for all of his encouragement, wisdom, and guidance.
“I would especially like to thank my club coach, ChristyAnn Morello, and my High School coach, Jenny Purvis, for their unwavering support, dedication, and assistance throughout my recruiting process–both on and off the field. I would also like to thank Chrissy Poplawski and Brooke Fritz for their willingness to help me during this time. I would like to thank my future coaches, Cathy Swezey, Susan Ellis, and Julie Gardner, for this incredible opportunity and for believing that I can have an impact at Vanderbilt.
“Next, I would like to thank my Garnet Valley, Brandywine Majors, and Turf Dogs teammates for all of their encouragement and support during each and every game and practice. I am so thankful to play with such talented girls. All of my teammates are a huge reason as to why I love this game so much. PTWT!”
